Storefront Art Projects is proud to present a selection of Nina Nielsen’s recent paintings.
We all knew Nina Nielsen from the esteemed Nielsen Gallery which she ran for 40 years on Newbury Street. Artist and writer Elizabeth Michelman comments, “Nina’s significant long-time role in the Boston arts community is worth celebrating.” Nina is painting now and her work is alive and colorful, abstract and spiritual, and some pieces are gritty with sand mixed in with the oils.
Nina says, “The test of all art … created in every time period is if the meaning (the why, not the how) communicates deeply with every human being no matter when they live. Art reaches beyond social relevance to the timelessness of the universe which we all share.”
