April Walk Series – Get Fit & Strong
Thursday, April 9th – 30th 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Meetup in lower Saltonstall Park, next to Watertown City Hall
Join us for our kick-off program with Kristina Courage, Certified Personal Trainer! This movement series designed to help you build strength, mobility, and confidence as we head into summer. Each week highlights a different part of the body to enhance balance, posture, and overall functional movement.
Sessions begin with a themed movement segment (10-15 minutes), followed by a guided walk of (30-40 minutes).
Week 1 – Ankle Mobility & Balance – Learn easy ways to strengthen your feet and ankles to improve balance and reduce the risk of falls.
Week 2 – Hip Mobility & Lateral Strength – Try simple hip exercises that can improve the way you walk and help keep your muscles balanced.
Week 3 – Core Stability & Posture – Explore how proper breathing helps activate and support your core for better posture and stability.
Week 4 – Flexibility & Muscular Balance – Practice four to five key stretches and movements designed to support comfortable, efficient walking.
