The following announcement was provided by the John Lawn Campaign:

Representative John Lawn today announced that he has received the endorsement of Governor Maura Healey in the 10th Middlesex race for state representative.

“I’m honored to have Governor Healey’s support. Together, we’ve fought to protect access to affordable health care and stand up for working families here in Watertown and across the Commonwealth. I look forward to continuing that work for another term,” Lawn said.

“John is a thoughtful, proven leader who gets things done for working families. He’s led the fight to keep health care accessible and affordable, and he’s been a steady partner as we push back against Trump’s attacks on the programs our families rely on. That’s exactly why I appointed him to my Health Care Affordability Working Group — and it’s why I’m proud to endorse him for re-election,” Healey said.

Lawn has also been endorsed by U.S. Senator Ed Markey, the Planned Parenthood Advocacy Fund, the Environmental League of Massachusetts, the Massachusetts Nurses Association, the National Association of Social Workers Massachusetts Chapter, 1199 SEIU United Healthcare Workers East, and Reproductive Equity Now.

In Watertown, Lawn has received the endorsement of State Representative Steve Owens, Representative William Brownsberger, City Council President Mark Sideris, Councilor Vincent Piccirelli, and Councilor Emily Izzo.
