Two Chances to Hear from the the State Senate Candidates

During the week of Aug. 10, the candidates running for the State Senate seat representing Watertown will appear in two debates.

Incumbent Will Brownsberger and challenger Daniel Lander will first appear on the Charles River Regional Chamber’s debate on Monday, Aug. 10, followed by a live televised debate on Wednesday, Aug. 12 sponsored by Watertown News and Watertown Cable Access Television (WCA-TV). The candidates are on the ballots for the Democratic primary on Sept. 1, 2026.

State Senate primary debate with Candidates Brownsberger and Lander

Monday, Aug 10, 1-2 p.m. via Zoom, free

Our focus will be on economic development, housing, workforce and non-profit issues, but more general topics may also be discussed. Questions from the business community in advance are welcome. The events will be recorded and shared later.

Debate on Watertown Cable

On Aug. 12, the candidates for Suffolk & Middlesex State Senate — Will Brownsberger and Daniel Lander — will debate at 7 p.m. The moderator will be Watertown Cable Anchor Maya Shwayder.

The debate will air live exclusively on WCA-TV’s Public Channel (Comcast 9 & RCN 3) and stream live worldwide at WCATV.org/Public. Full replay will be available on demand after each debate.
