Mosesian Center for the Arts will host a listening party for a new album by artist in residence Lyrical Faith. See more information in the annoucement form the MCA, below.
The Mosesian Center for the Arts invites audiences to celebrate the culmination of artist Lyrical Faith’s residency with a special Album Listening Party on Tuesday, Sept. 1, featuring the first public presentation of a spoken word album developed and recorded during her time as an Artist-in-Residence.
From April through June 2026, Lyrical Faith transformed her Mosesian Arts studio into an active creative workspace, writing, recording, and refining an original spoken word album in collaboration with producer and musician Citixen Joy. The project blends poetry, music, storytelling, and sonic experimentation into a deeply personal and immersive work that audiences will experience for the first time during the listening party.
Lyrical Faith joined the inaugural cohort of Mosesian Arts’ Artist-in-Residence Program as the center’s Inaugural 2026 Ignite Fellow. The residency program provides emerging and mid-career artists with dedicated time, studio space, and professional development support to create new work, while the Ignite Fellowship expands access to those resources for emerging artists from the global majority and historically marginalized communities.
Throughout her residency, Lyrical Faith has engaged audiences through performances and collaborations, while developing the album that now reaches its completion.
“One of the most rewarding aspects of an artist residency is witnessing the creative process as it unfolds,” said Aliana de la Guardia, Executive Director of the Mosesian Center for the Arts. “For months, Lyrical Faith’s studio has been a place of experimentation and artistic discovery. This listening party offers audiences the opportunity to experience not just the finished album, but the culmination of a creative journey that Mosesian Arts has been privileged to support.”
The evening will take place in the intimate Dinah Lane Theater and feature selections from the completed album, conversation about the creative process, and the first public listening experience of the finished collaboration. Following the program, guests are invited to stay for a reception with the artist.
Lyrical Faith’s residency reflects the Mosesian Center for the Arts’ commitment to supporting artists beyond presentation opportunities by providing the time, space, and resources needed to create ambitious new work. The Listening Party offers audiences a rare opportunity to celebrate not only a finished artistic project, but the residency process that made it possible.
Tickets for the Lyrical Faith Album Listening Party are $50 for VIP admission, including an exclusive gift; $35 for standard admission; and $25 for Mosesian Center for the Arts members. All prices include fees. Tickets are available online at mosesianarts.org, by phone at (617) 923-0100, or in person at the Mosesian Center for the Arts Box Office at 321 Arsenal St. in Watertown. The Box Office is open Tuesday through Friday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. and one hour before all public performances and events.
