The following announcement was provided by Gore Place:
Sunday, September 21, at 4:00 p.m. Come celebrate the Farm at Gore Place and the end of summer! Gather with guests from across Greater Boston for a seasonal, chef-curated meal celebrating local agriculture, sustainability, and community. In case of rain, dinner will take place in our spacious and modern Event Tent.
Tickets are now available at goreplace.org.
Dinner will be supervised by Chef Ian Davey. Chef Davey formalized his culinary education at the world-renowned Le Cordon Bleu in Paris. He joined Webber Restaurant Group in 2019 as Executive Chef of Fireside Catering. In 2022, Ian was promoted to Culinary Director, overseeing the culinary teams at Fireside Catering, The Barn at Gibbet Hill, Gibbet Hill Grill, and The Double Bull.
The meal will be provided by Gibbet Hill Farm of Groton, Massachusetts. While traditionally a Black Angus cattle farm, Gibbet Hill has expanded to grow produce for its restaurants and other businesses within the Webber Restaurant Group. Today, over three acres of produce are growing specifically for their chefs’ use. Gibbet Hill practices “no-till farming,” an agricultural practice that involves planting crops without disturbing the soil through tilling or plowing. Instead, the farmer leaves the soil undisturbed and plants seeds directly into the ground.
This event is a fundraiser for Gore Place, providing critical support for the museum’s day-to-day operations.
