
The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department.
Nov. 12: An employee of the Oakley Country Club reported that someone had cashed 12 fraudulent checks from the Club’s account for $620. It appears a check was fished from the mail after being mailed from a standalone sidewalk.
Nov. 12: A check mailed by a Bradshaw Street resident was stolen and changed to $7,492.
Nov. 12: A man went into Ulta, took eight bottles of fragrance, put them into a tote bag, and left without paying. The total value was $630.
Nov. 13: A man was seen taking grocery and household items on 10 occasions from Oct. 8 to Nov. 13. He took a total of $515.
Nov. 14: A package was taken from the vestibule at an apartment building on Whites Avenue. It contained $100 worth of pet supplies.
Nov. 14: A man took $200 worth of sports cards from Target. He carried them out in a backpack.
Nov. 14: A woman took $100 in merchandise from Target.
Nov. 15: Best Buy reported a man stole an HP monitor worth $150.
Nov. 16: A package from Temu with $250 worth of items was delivered to an apartment on Warren Street. It was taken before the recipient could collect it.
Nov. 16: Target security detained a shoplifter after he concealed clothing into a grey bag. He also had an active warrant. Mannie Browne, 23, of Boston, was arrested on charges of shoplifting and the warrant from Attleboro District Court for two counts of shoplifting over $250 and furnishing a false name.
Nov. 17: A Toyota Sienna was taken from Chandler Road. The owner parked it on Nov. 16 and went to find it on the morning of the 17th and it was gone. Police are investigating.
Nov. 17: A resident received an email which she believed was from a church asking to send $1,000 in Apple gift cards. The person went and purchased the cards and sent the codes from the cards to the email. Later she received an email from the church saying their system had been hacked, and the woman realized it was a scam.
Nov. 17: A Jackson Road resident received an alert that someone tried to return an item from Target online. The refund was not issued. The resident checked their Bank of America card and when the person looked up their account there were charges for $3, $126, and $98.
Nov. 17: A man was seen trying to cut a cable lock on a bike at Arsenal Yards. Before the security guard could get there the man rode away on the bike he arrived on. The locked bike was not stolen.
Nov. 17: Three juveniles were seen taking $144 in clothing from Target.
Nov. 18: A resident received a Home Depot credit card in the mail, but had never opened an account. The card had $3,770 of charges on it.
Nov. 20: A mattress was left on the sidewalk on California Street.
Nov. 20: A man took a pair of DualSense 5 wireless controllers were taken from Best Buy. They were valued at $375.
Nov. 20: A juvenile girls was seen taking items from multiple stores. She took $433 in merchandise from Target, $40 in items from Marshalls, and $108 worth of merchandise from Ulta.
