Arsenal Yards Announces Latest Restaurant Addition

Boylston Properties and Wilder proudly announced today that Tender Greens has signed a 3,017 sq. ft. lease at Arsenal Yards. The restaurant has quickly emerged as an innovative leader and pioneer among fine-casual restaurants since Erik Oberholtzer, David Dressler, and Matt Lyman opened the first location in 2006 on an up-and-coming street in Culver City, California. Arsenal Yards Developers Show Plans for Biotech Building

Architect Adam Gross, of Ayers Saint Gross, shows drawings for the proposed new Building G at Arsenal Yards. It would be a lab/office space for biotech companies. Looking to take advantage of one of the hottest industries in the Boston area, the developers of Arsenal Yards seek to turn the previous proposed residential tower into a biotech research and development lab and office building. Last week, representatives from Boylston Properties presented their preliminary plans for Building G — the last piece of the Arsenal Yards project — during a community meeting. Biotech has already made significant inroads in Watertown, with 23 companies employing about 1,500 people, said Andrew Copelotti, a principal at Boylston Properties.

Watertown Savings Bank (WSB) President and Chief Executive Officer Brett Dean is pleased to announce the promotion of Robyn Alman to Assistant Vice President. Alman is the Bank’s Compliance and Internal Audit Manager. She originally joined the Bank in 2007 as the Branch Supervisor for the Arsenal Branch in Watertown. Alman then worked as the Assistant Manager for WSB’s North Waltham/Lexington and Main Office Branches. She was later promoted to Compliance Manager and more recently has served as the Bank’s liaison with their internal auditors.

Professional Dental Image provides dental care for people who cannot afford it each month. A Watertown dental practice has started providing free dental care for people in the community who cannot afford it. Professional Dental Image in East Watertown provides free dental care to people with urgent need and who cannot afford to pay for the work, said Dr. M. Zakkoom, who runs the practice with his dental partner Dr. M. Kamel. “We wanted to do it to give back to the community,” Zakkoom said. “Every first Thursday of the month we fit people in with our regular appointments.

Construction of East End House Allowed to Go Ahead, District Councilor Critical of Process

Neighbors of the project at 71 Salisbury Road say the excavation has impacted their properties, and they did not receive notice. The major excavation for a single-family home on Salisbury Road has drawn the ire of neighbors, and now the District Town Councilor, who questions how the work was allowed by Town officials. Last week, residents alerted the Town Council to the work being done at 71 Salisbury Road, including a major excavation of bedrock which took several days and damaged the roots of trees and shrubs on neighboring properties. The property was purchased in August 2015 by Eamon Fee, one of the developers of the parcel. The Town issued a building permit in August 2018 for a single-family house, which is allowed “by right,” so the project would not have to get approval from the Zoning Board of Appeals.
