Watertown Business Coalition Hosting Morning With the Arts Networking Event

The Watertown Business Coalition invites the public to hear about what’s going on in the arts in the City, and do some networking. The WBC provided the following information:

Where: Mosesian Center for the Arts

What: Join us for our next IN-PERSON Coffee Connect where you will have the chance to see old friends and meet new people from the business and arts community in Watertown, see the newly renovated MCA, and hear from MCA Executive Director Darren Farrington about the 2022 Calendar of Events at the MCA. ADDITIONALLY, our friend Liz Helfer (Watertown Public Arts & Culture Planner) and Kristen Kenny (Watertown Arts Market Chair) will speak on initiatives and opportunities coming to town including the next Watertown Arts Market in August at Arsenal Park!

Watertown Yoga Studio Hosting Benefit to Support Relief Efforts in Ukraine

Watertown’s Artemis Yoga will host classes to raise funds to provide relief to Ukraine. The following information was provided by Artemis Yoga:

Please join us Saturday, April 9 for an afternoon of benefit classes to support relief efforts in Ukraine. At its essence, yoga is about community and a desire to be of service to others. There is so much need in the world and the recent events in Ukraine have been so quickly unfolding that it can feels like a small part that we can do act with compassion and support. Artemis Yoga has put together an afternoon of specialty classes for you to enjoy while also supporting with donations to #ChefsForUkraine through World Central Kitchen.

Major Residential, Retail Project Proposed for Main Street, Near Watertown Square

Icon ArchitectureA view of the proposed project at 104-126 Main St. from Main Street. A five-story mixed use project with housing units on top of retail and commercial space may be coming to Main Street. The development would include properties that currently include the Post Office, a restaurant, a boutique and other properties. The pre-application plans were sent to the to the Watertown Planning Department for review on March 31 show 146 residential units in four stories.
