The Mosesian Center for the Arts is excited to showcase a variety of artworks that are inspired by science. Artists and scientists are alike in many ways. Both are known for their creativity, careful observation of the world around them and a big dose of determination. Both the artists and the scientists spend a long time in pursuit of their calling.

Gore Place Hosting Music for the Holly Days

On Wednesday, December 18 at 7:30 p.m., Gore Place, the historic site in Waltham and Watertown, will offer Music for the Holly Days, a concert of traditional tunes by Waltham’s own Moody Street String Band. Moody Street String Band will offer Celtic, traditional, and seasonal tunes to ring in the holidays! Don’t miss what has become a Gore Place tradition! The concert will take place in the beautiful 1793 Carriage House. Tickets are just $21 and should be purchased in advance as the capacity is limited.

Perkins Announces Live Audio Description at Theatrical Performances the Boston Area

Perkins School for the Blind announced that live audio descriptions for blind and visually impaired audiences at theater and dance performances around the Boston area at venues including the American Repertory Theater, Broadway in Boston, the Colonial Theater, The Huntington Theatre Company, and the Hanover Theatre. Perkins provided the following announcement:
