When it comes to MBTA service, residents in numerous Boston neighborhoods and abutting communities would love to say they have the worst. They’d be wrong.
Watertown “wins” hands down.
Watertown Democrats are invited to attend a caucus on Saturday, March 9, at 1 p.m. to elect 24 delegates and 5 alternates to the 2024 Massachusetts Democratic Convention. The caucus will be held in the Watertown Savings Bank Room of the Watertown Library, 123 Main St. Doors will open at 12:30 p.m., and participants are encouraged to arrive early. Everyone who arrives by 1:15 p.m. will be admitted.
A single family, a two-family, and multiple condos are hosting tours this weekend.

Watertown High School’s girls distance relay team competed with some of the best in the state, and finished in a point-scoring position at the MIAA Div. 4 Indoor State Meet at the Reggie Lewis Track on Sunday.

I watched the Rules and Ordinances meeting on Monday night. Don’t bother, unless you’re a rule nerd. It’s what the expression “digging deep” was made for. But for some people, it’s exciting and provocative. This is not meant to offend these people. We really need folks who get down to the nitty gritty when discussing how a board, committee, commission, and in this case a Council should behave itself and what the ramifications of this behavior are.
The Department of Conservation and Recreation sent out the following announcement:
The Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) today announced that reservations for camping at parks across Massachusetts will open to the public on March 6, 2024, at 9 a.m. Visitors can make reservations for one of DCR’s campgrounds up to four months in advance of their arrival date through ReserveAmerica. Reservations are available for DCR’s 25 campgrounds beginning in April and running through October.
Watertown voters can take part in early voting for the 2024 Presidential Primary during six days in late February and early March. Along with candidates for President, voters can vote for the party’s State Committee Man, State Committee Woman, and Town Committee.
