Gore Place Hosting Used Book Sale

The following announcement was provided by Gore Place:

On Friday, March 8, from 4 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, March 9 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., book lovers can buy gently used books at bargain prices ($2 for paperbacks, $5 for most hardcovers) during the annual Gently Used Books sale. The event will be held in the Mansion at Gore Place in Waltham.

Edible Watertown Artwork Auction and Closing Reception

The City of Watertown’s Edible Watertown exhibit for 2023-24 will soon be closing, and the artwork will be auctioned off to benefit the program.

DPW Update on Waste Reduction, Recycling & Re-use

The Department of Public Works provided the following update on trash, recycling, and re-use efforts in Watertown:

Happy New Year! 2023 was a strong continuation of the big push that was started in 2022 to help achieve our Resilient Watertown action items, as well as the City Council established goal of reducing the amount of waste sent for disposal by 30% by 2030.
