Watertown Wrestlers Make History, Hope to Add to Story This Weekend

Last weekend, not just one, but two Watertown High School wrestlers — senior Tommy Dicker and junior Brady Gleason — won their division at the MIAA Div. 3 Sectional meet. This weekend, these two wrestlers will be joined by their teammate Tessa Master at the Div. 3 States with the goal of becoming the first Raider wrestler to make it to the New England Championships.

Watertown Group Hosting Discussion of Passing a “Back from the Brink” Resolution in Town

Join us at Watertown Citizens’ Monthly Membership Meeting for “Let’s Pass a Back from the Brink Resolution in Watertown.” This will be an opportunity to hear from peace activists who have successfully passed nuclear abolition resolutions in Marshfield, Cambridge, Needham, and Newton as we embark on a similar effort in Watertown.

February Vacation Activities Available at DCR Properties

The following information was provided by the Department of Conservation and Conservation:

The Department of Recreation and Conservation (DCR) announced its plans today to help make February school vacation week a walk in the park for parents. From guided hikes to animal tracking, craft making, and maple sugaring, the agency is offering 81 free or low-cost engaging and educational activities for kids and families across the state from Saturday, February 17, through Sunday, February 25. The programming is part of DCR’s commitment to expanding access to Massachusetts’ State Park system, while also inspiring kids to get outdoors and fostering a connection with the environment.
