Watertown hired a new Veterans Services Officer, who is a Navy and Army National Guard veteran with experience in frontline medical care, and most recently worked in the Massachusetts Executive Office of Veterans Services. See the announcement from the City of Watertown, below.
Several polling places in Watertown will be moving to a new location for the 2025 Watertown Election. City Councilors had concerns about how voters will know where to go to vote.

The Watertown Business Coalition’s first networking event of 2024 will be an after hours event at Olespana in East Watertown.
Paul J. Sullivan Playground
The City of Watertown will hold a meeting on Jan. 17 to get input from residents about the Paul J. Sullivan Playground at the corner of Arlington and Mt. Auburn streets.
Watertown Citizens for Peace, Justice & the Environment and Massachusetts Peace Action will be having a silent standout in Watertown Square and a commemoration of lives lost in the nearby Belmont-Watertown United Methodist Church on Sunday.

Each Friday, Will and Sue Twombly drive to Cambridge and fill up their car with vegetables, fruit, bread, and other items and bring them back to Watertown. The food is bound for one of the newest resources for people struggling to afford to eat: the Watertown Community Fridge.
