A wide expanse of gym space, a theater that features a main stage and a black box theater, a two story media center, and large classrooms are some of the highlights of the new Watertown High School building that is about six months away from opening.

Once a month, the Watertown Police Department invites the public in to learn about how the department works and what officers are doing around town. On Aug. 19, the Tuesday Night Talk features the WPD’s School Resource Officers.
Watertown Police warn residents to be vigilant after four motor vehicles were stolen from town, and several other vehicle break-ins occuring over the last week.

The Jewish Watertown Action Network (JWAN) invites you to a screening of the film October 8, on Tuesday, August 19 that 6:30 p.m. at the Watertown Public Library.
On Saturday, Sept. 6, the Armenian Museum of America will welcome multi-talented artist Serj Tankian. Known for performing with the band System of a Down, Tankian will appear at the opening reception for the exhibition of his artwork at the Watertown-based museum. During the week of Aug. 18-22 work on the Mt. Auburn Street Project includes installation of curbs and pouring of concrete for sidewalks, on the East End of town. Also, drainage work will continue. See details in the announcement sent out by the City of Watertown.
