On March 26, Representatives of Watertown Boys & Girls Club joined their colleagues from across the state for the Massachusetts Alliance of Boys & Girls Clubs’ 22nd Annual Legislative Luncheon and Advocacy Day at the State House on Beacon Hill. Club staff, youth members, boards of directors, and elected officials were in attendance from across the Commonwealth. The event featured remarks from State Representative John Lawn, State Senator Brendan Crighton, State Senator Michael Rodrigues, Boys & Girls Club of America Hall of Famer “Marvelous” Marvin McIntyre, and Haybi Garcia, 2024 Massachusetts Youth of the Year and alumnus of the Waltham Boys & Girls Club.

This spring, Mount Auburn Cemetery is introducing Early-Bird Hours, offering a unique opportunity to experience its beauty in a whole new morning light. For the first time, the Cemetery’s Main Entrance (580 Mount Auburn St., Cambridge) will open daily at 6 AM in April and May, allowing visitors to experience the serene beauty of the Cemetery in the quiet, early morning hours.

This weekend has something for fans of musicals, Disney, hockey, art, and people who want to get creative. Friday afternoon, Hatch Makerspace is open for people who want to try their hands at vinyl cutting, 3D design and more. Young actors at Watertown Middle School will go on stage three times with a musical version of Mary Poppins. On Saturday night, Watertown’s semipro hockey team will try to clinch the championship.
