Watertown’s Roberta Miller Named “Commonwealth Heroine” by State Women’s Commission

The following announcement was provided by State Rep. Steve Owens’ office:

Each year, the Massachusetts Commission on the Status of Women (MCSW) partners with state legislators to identify women who make outstanding contributions to their organizations and in their communities. Elected officials are encouraged to submit one woman from their constituency as a means of recognizing their invaluable efforts and extraordinary acts of service, who are making a big difference in their communities but not necessarily making the news.

Weather Forecast: Temps in the 70s for a Few Days, Rising into 80s

Relief is here. A backdoor cold front has swept through the region, dropping temperatures and humidity dramatically across Eastern Massachusetts. The transition from oppressive to refreshing is already underway, with highs in the 70s for several days. Expect low clouds, onshore breezes, and occasional showers as cooler marine air dominates. Heading into next week, the pattern flips again as warming resumes by Sunday with 80s returning, and the potential for thunderstorms increases. The first days of July may flirt with summer heat again.
