Approximately 1,300 people of all ages attended the No Kings III Protest in Watertown Square which was sponsored by Indivisible Progressive Watertown. Music was provided by Watertown’s own band “Rosie and the Resisters.”

The City Council will be weighing in on a 39-page document that sets the rules for how Watertown’s appointed committees and municipal departments operate. Some changes proposed include changing the length of terms for some committees, who appoints members of certain committees, and how to remove members of committees.
As the Nov. 4 Watertown Municipal Election approaches, Watertown News and Watertown Cable Access TV will host a series of candidate forums for the local races, including the City Council and School Committee.
Watertown’s schedule has allowed them to play nothing but home games of late, and that continued versus Melrose. This game was a one-sided affair that Watertown led from start to finish. Avangeline Anderson netted 5 goals today to lead the way for Watertown. Watertown peppered the Melrose goalie early and often, and she had trouble controlling rebounds, and her defense wasn’t very helpful when it came to clearing the ball. Anderson was always in position and scored a number of her goals off rebounds, her stick ready to knock the ball in the cage.

Sunday is a day for history buffs in town as the Historical Society hosts a walking tour of Revolutionary War sights around Watertown, and a screening of a documentary film about the creation of the Quabbin Reservoir and the four towns that now lie beneath the surface. The Mosesian Center for the Arts is pleased to announce its long-running jazz series has relaunched as Chords and Cocktails, an exciting evolution of diverse live music on its stages, with performances running from October 2025 through April 2026.

Watertown’s 4th celebration of Indigenous Peoples Day will be held on Sunday, Oct. 12, 2025, from 12:00 to 3:30 p.m. at the Hosmer Elementary School, 1 Concord Road, Watertown, MA. The free event will feature Indigenous musicians, artists and vendors.
