Police Log: Couple Faces Shoplifting Charges, $13K Charged to Bank Account Opened in Resident’s Name

The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department. March 1: Two women were seen shoplifting at Nike. They took $730 worth of women’s clothing. March 1: A woman was stopped at Nike for taking $292 worth of merchandise. Jeela Avanaki, 48 of Belmont, was arrested for larceny.

Police Log: E-Bike & Scooter Stolen, Fraudulent Tax Return Filed Using Resident’s SSN

The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department. Feb. 22: A man was caught shoplifting $127 worth of merchandise at Target. Robert Richards, 37 of Cambridge, was arrested for shoplifting by concealment, a subsequent offense. Feb.

The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department. Feb. 14: A man went into Nike and took a pair of Air Jordan One shoes priced at $125. He concealed them in a bag and left the store at 5:45 p.m. without paying. Feb.

The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department. Jan. 18: A Quincy Street resident discovered someone took out an American Express card in the person’s name. The Police Department is working to try to get the resident’s money back. Jan.

The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department. Nov. 23: Sometime overnight from Nov. 22 to the 23rd someone broke into Arsenal Pizza. The backdoor was forced open and cash was stolen from the register.

The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department. Oct. 24, 5:31 p.m.: Two men were spotted in CVS on Mt. Auburn Street and a short time later employees heard a crash and saw them wheeling a green basket filled with 115 bags of candy worth $502. Oct.

The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department. Oct. 17: A glass patio table was shattered at a building on Arsenal Way. Police suspect it occurred between 8:30 a.m. and 9 p.m. on Oct. 16.

Police Log: Man Caught With Stolen Car Keys, Shoplifter with Seven Warrants Arrested

The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department. Oct. 7, 3:30 p.m.: A woman went into Carter’s in the Watertown Mall and took seven items worth $205 and concealed them in a bag. She left without paying. Oct 7, 7 p.m.: A man took seven Pokemon cards and a Pokemon S&V Box worth a combined $240 from Best Buy.
