Local Artists’ Work to be Featured in Studios Without Walls 2025

Watertown artist Dawn Scaltreto and Watertown’s Arts & Culture Planner Liz Helfer will be part of the Studio Without Walls 2025, “Dream Along the River,” which takes place near the Longwood T station in Brookline. Studios Without Walls has chosen 17 site specific sculptures in a remarkable variety of mediums, with a range of messages from equality to the environment, & social action. We have incorporated work by disabled artists from Gateway Arts, Boston Green Academy and the Community Academy of Science and Health. Bette Ann Libby’s “Dream Finder” will be part of Studio Without Walls 2025. Creating an oasis of art that enables the viewer to interpret, transform, heal, inform, relax and play among this unique collection.

Contemporary Printmakers’ Work on Display at Mosesian Center for the Arts

The Mosesian Center for the Arts is excited to showcase work that uses at least one or more printmaking processes. Contemporary printmaking is both shaped by tradition and innovation. This exhibition explores the variety of ways that contemporary artists approach printmaking from employing traditional techniques to more alternative methods and materials.

New pieces have been installed on the Watertown Community Sculpture Walk. On Saturday, a walk is planned where artists will discuss their sculptures. See more information from the City of Watertown. There is a Community Sculpture Walk on the Community Path in Saltonstall Park on Saturday, May 17, 2025, from 11 a.m.-noon.

Armenian Museum’s Exhibit Features Work of Contemporary Artist Varujan Boghosian

“Self-Portrait as a Lion,” is part of the Armenian Museum of America’s exhibit of the art of Varujan Boghosian. The following announcement was provided by the Armenian Museum of America:

The Armenian Museum of America of Watertown (Boston) recently announced a new exhibition of 45 works by Armenian-American artist Varujan Boghosian. “Fragments of Memory: The Art and Legacy of Varujan Boghosian” offers a rare opportunity to experience the elegant, poetic constructions created by an artist who left a profound mark on the world of contemporary art. Curated by Ryann Casey, the exhibition is sponsored by the Alan and Isabelle Der Kazarian Foundation. Varujan Boghosian (1926–2020) was more than just an artist; he was a mentor, a teacher, and a friend to many.

Exhibit of Watertown Photographer’s Work on Display in Cambridge

“Summer Street, Boston,” is one of Joseph Levendusky’s photos that will be displayed at CambridgeSeven + the Paul Dietrich Gallery. The photographs of Watertown’s Joseph Levendusky will be displayed at a gallery in Cambridge through late June, and a reception will be held on April 24.
