The second annual Porchfest will return to Watertown this May. See more information in the announcement from the Porchfest Committee:

Watertown Porchfest will return to porches, lawns, and driveways on Saturday, May 17, 2025, with extended hours from 12-6 p.m.! Last year, Watertown residents and organizations had over 70 locations and hosted nearly 150 performance groups, bringing music to an estimated audience of 1500 people. Registration for venues (“porches”) and performers will open on February 3rd and close on April 25th . Palestinian Violinist Brings Traditional Music to Watertown

The following announcement was provided by the concert organizers:

On Wednesday, Dec. 18 at 7 p.m., musicians from Palestine, Syria, Lebanon, and the U.S. will gather in Watertown to celebrate the beauty of Palestinian music. Proceeds will support Anera, a U.S.-based nonprofit with no political or religious affiliations. Anera provides humanitarian aid to families in Gaza. Palestinian violinist and composer Lina Malshy is serving as artistic director. “This concert is about shining the light of Palestine on all marginalized people,” Malshy shared.

Gore Place Hosting Music for the Holly Days

On Wednesday, December 18 at 7:30 p.m., Gore Place, the historic site in Waltham and Watertown, will offer Music for the Holly Days, a concert of traditional tunes by Waltham’s own Moody Street String Band. Moody Street String Band will offer Celtic, traditional, and seasonal tunes to ring in the holidays! Don’t miss what has become a Gore Place tradition! The concert will take place in the beautiful 1793 Carriage House. Tickets are just $21 and should be purchased in advance as the capacity is limited.
