Expect Detours on Arsenal Street on Tuesday Due to Construction

The westbound lanes of Arsenal Street will be closed due to nearby construction on Tuesday, Oct. 4 from 7 a.m to 3 p.m. and detours will be set up. Eastbound traffic will be sent down Irving Street, to North Beacon Street and back up Louise Street to Arsenal Street. Traffic heading west will use Arsenal Street and will be rerouted around the work zone. Police officers will be assigned to the area to help vehicle and pedestrian traffic.

UPDATE: Parts of Municipal Lot in Watertown Square to Close for Construction

UPDATED at 12:15 p.m.: The start of the construction on the municipal lot behind CVS has been delayed, according to the Department of Public Works. Follow Watertown News for more updates on the project. Some of the municipal parking lot behind CVS in Watertown Square will be closed while it undergoes construction. The Watertown Department of Public Works announced that portions of the municipal lot will be closed for construction of stormwater management and drainage improvements. It was slated to start on June 20, but the start has been delayed.

Night Construction on Belmont Street Starts Next Week

The Town of Belmont, through its contractor, Newport Construction, will be paving Belmont Street between Cushing Square and the Cambridge line, beginning Monday, June 13 and continuing up to June 20, weather permitting. 

Work will begin at Cushing Square and proceed to the Cambridge line.  Work hours will be between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m.  Expect road closures and detours during this process.  We appreciate your cooperation.
