Police went to Church Lane early on the morning of Oct. 1 for a disturbance involving two men, one of whom was wanted on multiple arrest warrants.

One of the men gave officers a false name, but police were able to determine his real identity, said Watertown Police Lt. Michael Lawn.

They also found he had three outstanding warrants.

Adam J. Swindell of Watertown was arrested on three warrants from Salem District Court – one for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, one for threatening to commit a crime and one for shoplifting, Lawn said.
