Watertown Youth Softball players recently got some advice from an experienced softball players.
Brook Capello and the Newbury College Nighthawks Softball Team put on a free clinic for the Watertown Youth. See the account from Watertown Youth Softball below:
It is a rarity in today’s world when a group of people can find time from their busy work loads to give back to the community. But that is exactly what Brook Capello and the Newbury College Softball team did this past weekend at the Hosmer Field. These young ladies took time out of their busy college careers and traveled to our town to help support our young and growing program.
It was a great turnout from our girls who were excited about the event. These young ladies are so much more than fine softball players. They truly embraced their opportunity as role models and taught the girls in an enthusiastic manner that made the day a learning experience that was filled with fun and positive energy.
Brook Capello who is the Head Coach and Senior Woman’s Administrator for Newbury said her team was “really excited” and “really looking forward to this opportunity to work with our players.”
And the feedback from our players and parents was a great one. Melissa Gracy Egan, a parent of one of our players, wrote “thanks so much for organizing such a great opportunity for all the girls. You are never to old to learn new drills and use them!! The girls had a great time!!”
