Restaurants and Bars: Many will be closed on New Year’s Day but check with your favorite establishments.
Grocery Stores: Stop & Shop and Shaw’s supermarkets will be open on New Year’s Day.
Schools: Schools are closed on New Year’s Day and classes resume classes on Jan. 5.
