Vote to Help Your Favorite Local Charity Win a Share of $30,000

The Belmont Savings Bank Foundation today announced the next round of a $30,000 grant competition for its charitable giving initiative in Watertown. Previously, residents nominated local charities that are now eligible for a donation based on voting, according to an announcement from the bank.

Through the initiative, the Belmont Savings Bank Foundation will invest $10,000 into three programs located in Watertown. The voting deadline is June 15, 2015. 

All approved organizations have a 20-day period to drive voting which is taking place on the Foundation website.

During the initial round, Watertown charitable organizations had until May 20th to submit an application after being nominated. Now, eligible groups may encourage supporters that live in Watertown to vote once per device on the Belmont Savings Bank Foundation website, choosing their preferred recipient. In 20 days, all votes will be tallied to identify the top three nominated charitable organizations that will then each receive a $10,000 donation.

  • Armenian Cultural And Educational Assn
  • Arsenal Center for the Arts
  • Asperger/Autism Network
  • Boys and Girls Club Of Watertown Inc
  • Growing Places Preschool
  • Helen Wright Robinson Foundation
  • Hosmer Elementary School PTO
  • Improbable Players
  • New Repertory Theatre
  • Primary Source
  • Springwell Inc
  • Watertown Community Foundation
  • Watertown Community Gardens
  • Watertown Cooperative Nursery School
  • Watertown Education Foundation

The role of the Belmont Savings Bank Foundation is to support not-for-profit groups, institutions, schools and other organizations as a way of adding to the quality of life for people living in the communities in which Belmont Savings Bank serves. Since 2012, the Foundation has contributed $552,580 to local groups in the Greater Boston area.
