Live Well Watertown is hosting a free snowshoeing event on Saturday, Feb. 20, from 11 a.m.-12 p.m.

The group sent out the following information:

If there is snow on the ground, we’ll head out to the trails for some easy and enjoyable snowshoeing. If not, participants will be guided through the Gore Estate to learn about the history of farming in early New England, compared to the modern operation of the farm today.

Participants should arrive between 10:30 and 10:45 a.m., dress comfortably for the weather, and be prepared to walk an extensive portion of the property (if taking the tour). First-time snowshoers will receive basic instruction and safety tips.

PLEASE RSVP to stephaniev@livewellwatertown.org to guarantee snowshoes!

Co-sponsored by Live Well Watertown and the Watertown Recreation Department. This program is partially funded through a Marshall Home Fund grant.
