Watertown Farmers Market

Thursday afternoon means the Watertown Farmers Market, and this week you can enjoy some summer crops, including peas and carrots of different stripes.

You will be able to find snap peas, sweet peas, orange and purple carrots at the booths. Also, summer squashes and greens.

The market has much more than vegetables. Each week a cheesemaker sets up a table, with Jasper Hill Farm and Central Bottle alternating each week.

Another vendor is Ava’s Popcorn, which was recently featured on WGBH’s Craving Boston.

Find out about the Watertown Community Gardens this week, who will have a team on hand to talk about their new garden to be located at Arsenal Park. They’ll be hosting a kid-friendly marigold planting activity too.

The Watertown Farmers Market is open every Thursday through October from 2 p.m.-6 p.m. at the lawn at the Arsenal on the Charles at Arsenal Street and Kingsbury Avenue.
