A funeral service will be held on Thursday July 14, 2016 in the MacDonald Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home, Watertown at 12 noon for Norman E. White.

Norman, a son of the late John and Winifred (Musselwhite) White, passed away on Saturday July, 9, 2016 in his home. He was 86.

Born in Southampton, England, he grew up in Catford, England during the bombings of World War II. In 1952 he and his wife Maria moved to Watertown.

Norman was an avid hunter and shooter. He worked as a house painter in the Watertown area. He served as an Auxiliary Police Officer for the Watertown Police Department for over 25 years. He also served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Beloved husband of the late Maria A. (Caira) White. Devoted father of John D. White of Watertown. Dear brother of Alan White and his wife Christine and Sheila Moore and her late husband Ronald both of England and the late Jackie White.

Loving uncle of 10 nieces and nephews and 6 great nieces and nephews. Also survived by sister in-laws Bianca DelRaso of Watertown and Perina Gentile of Billerica.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday July 14, 2016 at 12 noon in the MacDonald Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home, 270 Main St., Watertown. Visiting hours from 10 a.m.-noon prior to the service. Relatives and friends kindly invited.

Interment will be at St. Patrick Cemetery
