Boston FARE (Food Allergy Research & Education) is pleased to announce this year’s annual walk will feature a wooden 20 foot by 8 foot wall of pumpkins that walk participants will help paint teal. The walk begins at 1 p.m. starting at Arsenal Park with activities for all ages and will end at 4 p.m. The giant wall of pumpkins will also be located at the center of Arsenal Park and walkers are encouraged to begin painting it teal as soon as the walk begins.
FARE has walks all over the county, but Boston is the only walk featuring this teal wall of pumpkins and one of the largest expected attendances between 500-700 walkers. The Teal Pumpkin Project is dedicated to allowing all children to experience the joy and tradition of trick-or-treating on Halloween by displaying a teal pumpkin to signal there is an alternative to candy or this is a safe house for children with allergies.
