OBIT: Stephen Garabedian, 73, Worked at Corbett Drug Store, Coached Youth Sports

A Funeral Mass for Stephen C. Garabedian will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 13, 2016, at St. Luke’s Church, Belmont. Mr. Garabedian passed away in the Mount Auburn Hospital early morning on December 7, 2016. He was 73.

A lifelong resident of Watertown. Stephen is a son of the late Charles & Anne (Donabedian) Garabedian. A graduate of Watertown High School, class of 1960 and the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy, Boston. Stephen worked for many years at the Corbett Drug Store, Belmont, until it’s closing and moved across the road to the Shaw’s Supermarket until he retired. Stephen loved coaching baseball and Pop Warner football for his sons.

Stephen served in the United States Army Reserve’s, in the General Hospital Unit. He was Honorably Discharged as an SP6 on June 20, 1972.

He is the father of Stephen M. Garabedian of Methuen and Charles D. Garabedian & his fiancée Nina of Beverly. Brother of Loretta Haroutoonian of Washington, Arlene M. Cotter of Plymouth, Ronald P. & James R. both of Watertown. Also survived by 9 grandchildren. A life-long loving friend of John & Patricia Cucinotta of Wilmington.

Funeral from the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home at 270 Main St. Watertown on Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2016, at 8 a.m., followed by Funeral Mass in St. Luke’s Church, 132 Lexington St., Belmont at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends kindly invited.

Visiting hours Monday from 4-7 p.m.

Interment Ridgelawn Cemetery.
