Violet Clark

Violet M. Clark (Joslin), known to family and friends as Vi, (age 90) passed away on January 10, 2017.

Loving mother of Richard Corfield and Bruce Corfield (deceased), mother-in- law to Ellen and Elaine, grandmother to Shannon, Megan, and Brian, and great-grandmother to Colby, Clayton, and Thomas. Preceded in death by her husband Gerald Clark, and sisters Rita Kimball and Gloria Pollier.

Vi received her Nursing Degree from Heywood Memorial Hospital, and spent many dedicated years working at Mount Auburn Hospital and Charlesgate Manor Nursing Home. She was a long-time Watertown resident and member of St. Patrick’s Church. Vi loved to travel and saw much of the world including trips around the United States, Europe and the Caribbean. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles, needlepoint, and playing Scrabble.

The family would like to give special thanks to the wonderful nurses and care-givers at Elizabeth Seton Residence, Home Helpers, and Care Dimensions. They provided Vi with exceptional care, comfort, and companionship. They all took such good care of her, and Vi looked forward to seeing them each and every day.

Funeral from the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home at 270 Main St. Watertown on Friday Jan. 13, 2017 at 8 a.m., followed by Funeral Mass in the Church of St. Patrick, 212 Main St., Watertown at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends kindly invited.

A visiting hour from 8-8:45 a.m. Interment Hillside Cemetery, Auburn, MA. Retired R.N.

In lieu of flowers, donation’s may be made in Vi’s  memory to Elizabeth Seton Residence, attn.: Lori Ferrante, 125 Oakland St, Wellesley, MA 02481.
