The Watertown Mall invites the public to events focused on science, summertime and keeping active this June.

Mad Science
Mad Science of North Boston presents “Make UV Ray Bracelets and Keychains” on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 from 1-3 p.m.! Join instructors for a step by step demonstration and instruction to make your own bracelet or keychain using UV ray beads! Learn the power of sunlight and watch white beads change to colored when taken outside the building. The beads contain pigments which react with ultraviolet light from the sun, even on a cloudy day. Children are invited to come get creative and make their own color changing bracelet or keychain! Children under 10 may need some adult assistance. This event will take place near Carter’s. THIS EVENT IS FREE.
Celebrate the Summer Solstice
Celebrate Summer with the Watertown Family Network at the Watertown Mall on Wednesday, June 21 at 11 a.m.! Join the Watertown Family Network and the Watertown Mall to celebrate the sunny days of summer! There will be songs, stories and surprises for kids of all ages. Come and make festive and summery crafts! All supplies will be provided. The Watertown Family Network is a grant-funded program of the Massachusetts Department of Education and care run through the Watertown Public Schools. The Watertown Family Network continues to partner with The Watertown Mall to provide fun and educational programs for children of all ages. This event is open to ALL AGES and is FREE. It will take place near Carter’s.
Join the Walking Club
The Watertown Mall keeps the Walking Club moving every Friday at 9 a.m.! – Get moving and in shape for summer with the Watertown Mall Walking Club! The club is up and running and will meet every Friday morning all summer long! This week, we have trainers from Fitness Together in Belmont to facilitate stretching and offer some fitness insight. The distance of each lap is tracked for you, so you’ll know how many miles you have walked! The Watertown Mall offers a controlled environment for your comfort all year long. There will be water and healthy snacks provided for all participants. The program is open to all ages and meets at the Target back entrance. Get your walking shoes, strollers, and friends and start walking!
