Watertown Boys & Girls Club will host a lifeguard certification class Tuesday, April 17 to Friday, April 20, 2018. Lifeguards that need a re-certification only need to attend Friday’s session.
The class will run from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and is open to anyone who meets the following criteria:
• 15 years old on the first day of class (4/17/18)
• Can swim 300 yards continuously
• Can tread water for 2 minutes using only the legs
• Can complete a timed event within 1 minute and 40 seconds, (swim 20 yards, surface dive to a depth of 7 – 10 feet and retrieve a 10-pound object, return to surface and swim 20 yards on back to return to starting point, exit water without ladder or steps)
Full certification cost: $275.00 for Club members, $325.00 for non-members
Re-certification cost: $75.00
