August is filled with activities at the Watertown Library, with activities for kids and adults, cooking demonstrations, classes and more.

Watertown Free Public Library provided the following information about events at this month:

C.R.A.F.T.: Collage Coasters*

Sunday 8/26 | 3 p.m.
Lucia Mastrangelo Room
CRAFT is a series of free DIY workshops for adults. We will provide supplies and instruction for you to Create Random Amazing Free Things. Bring your friends for an afternoon of inspiration, fun, and creativity.

This month we’ll be making collage coasters! The photo is just an example.

VIBRANT: Assistive Technology Training for the Visually Impaired*

Great American Read – Watertown Edition

Inspired by the PBS series, we want to determine Watertown’s favorite novel! Vote in our Great American Read – Watertown Edition poll here! Or, starting July 2, come in to the library and vote using our paper ballots.

Share with us why you loved this book, a memory from when you first read it, a special person who gave it to you or anything else that comes to mind! We will publish the results of our own Watertown version of the Great American Read at the end of the summer, and will also be displaying some of your comments at the library- stay tuned!

We can help Watertown residents get connected to services such as fuel, food, housing, addiction services, and counseling resources. We now offer private, half hour consultations at the library.
