Pedestrian Struck by Vehicle on Mt. Auburn Street Near Watertown Square

Watertown Police said a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on Mt. Auburn Street around 5:40 p.m. on Friday.

The accident occurred on Mt. Auburn Street near Summer Street when a woman was hit while crossing the road, according to Watertown Police Lt. James O’Connor.

“The vehicle was traveling westbound on Mt. Auburn Street, and the pedestrian came out between two parked cars and was not in the crosswalk,” O’Connor said.

The woman suffered non-life threatening injuries, and was take to hospital, O’Connor said.

Police discovered the driver did not have a valid license. The 37-year-old Boston man will be summonsed to Waltham District Court for unlicensed driving.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation, O’Connor said.
