Snow covered trees make a winter wonderland along the Charles River in Watertown Square.

Live Well Watertown announced a slate of winter activities, including a walking group, snowshoeing, beating the winter blues and the annual Soup Fest.

The group sent out the following details:

Circle Walking

(new class series)

January 8 through February 26
Wednesdays, 12:00 – 1:00 p.m.
Watertown Public Library, Savings Bank Room

The Wednesday Walks are moving indoors for the winter months! Circle Walking is a Chinese martial art and meditation in motion that can help reduce stress and improve balance. It is easy to learn and focuses on movement changes while walking around the edge of a circle in various stances. This class is suitable for all ages and a great way to get moving during the colder months!

NOTE: By registering for this event, you are committing to attend eight (8) Wednesday sessions of this class.

Beat the Winter Blues

Do you notice a decrease in energy and enthusiasm during the winter season? Attend this workshop to learn about Seasonal Affective Disorder as well as the common slump many experience during the winter months. Coping strategies will be presented along with effective treatment options.
This FREE program will be taught by Susan Axe-Bronk, PhD.

Increase Resilience with Mindfulness

Tuesdays, February 4 – 25
4:00 – 5:00 p.m.
Watertown Public Library, Savings Bank Room

This class series will teach you basic mindfulness and stress reduction tools, help you understand your emotions and triggers, and increase your ability to respond more positively to people and situations. *Participants should plan to attend all four classes.

EAT WELL’s 3rd Annual Soup Fest!

Wednesday, February 5

The 2020 Eat Well Watertown series kicks-off with one-pot meals to warm the heart and tummy! Get to know locally available winter soup ingredients and learn how to prepare nutritious and delicious dishes. There will be ample samples, recipes, and nutrition information.
