The following announcement was provided by the Watertown Library:

As the weather turns cold, tune in to your favorite Library programs and classes from the comfort of your living room. This month on Zoom, step up your job search, prove your Parks and Rec TV knowledge, or design a custom, laser-etched coaster.

Do you you know someone who does not have computer or internet access? Send them to the Library! WFPL is now providing laptops and internet hot spots for patrons to take home for two weeks at a time. Learn more here: watertownlib.org/laptops

FOR CHILDREN

New: Free Access to Scholastic Teachables
Parents, teachers, and caregivers: if you are looking for ways to support your student’s learning this year, check out Scholastic Teachables. Printable lesson plans, learning games, and skills sheets (through grade 8) are now free with library card! 

Take and Make
Do you have a creative kid at home? Pick up a take and make bag in the Children’s Room! Through the month, we’ll continue adding more crafts, games, and DIY fun.

Story Time (via Facebook Live)
Monday at 12 PM | Tuesday at 10:30 AM | Thursday at 11 AM | For families with Children of all ages.

New: “Let’s Talk” Conversation Cans 
Trying to fill the silence at the dinner table? Tired of asking how was your day? and getting a one-word answer? WFPL’s Teen Room has a possible solution: the conversation starter can. Each can includes conversation prompts to encourage meaningful discussion and foster new connections between family members. Pick up yours at the Teen Desk, limit one per family.

Take and Make Bags for Teens
September 28 – December 21 | This fall, we’re offering free “take and make” project materials for students in grades 6-12, available for pickup at WFPL. We’re releasing new projects every other Monday. Click the link to sign up for a bag.

How to Set Up a Virtual Game Night
