The following announcement was provided by Watertown Citizens for Peace, Justice and the Environment:

Please join us for the February Monthly Meeting of Watertown Citizens for Peace, Justice and the Environment for a presentation by Watertown Citizens Refugee Support Working Group.

Topics will include updates, concerns and activities regarding immigrants at the international, national and state levels, as well as the local endeavors of the working group in our community. There will also be opportunity for comments and questions.

The zoom meeting will take place on Wednesday, February 17 at 7:00 PM. You can zoom in at 6:45 PM for a bit of socializing prior to the official beginning of the meeting.   1. When the phrase “refugee support” is mentioned, do they mean legal or illegal support? If it is for those doing it the correct way, then fine, but since we have millions out of work, millions living in poverty or homeless, then why should we be allowing illegal immigrants to enter the country? Disease, drugs, cartel criminals will come with it and then it will be too late. Who is going to pay for the free health care for the millions who arrive? Take a wild guess and it won’t be Watertown Citizens for Peace, Justice and the Environment since the environment, pollution, waste of natural resources come with over-population.
