The Watertown Health Department announced that it will host a COVID-19 vaccine clinic for Watertown seniors age 65 and older.

The Watertown Health Department has been allotted 100 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, per State requirements.

A First-Shot clinic will be held for Watertown residents 65 and older ONLY (no caregivers) onMonday, March 1, 2021 from 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM, Community Room, Watertown Police Department, 552 Main Street.An appointment is required to get a vaccine. No walk-ins.

Watertown Seniors requiring assistance with registering for this clinic cancall the Senior Center at (617) 972-6490.

Please plan to arrive five minutes prior to your vaccination time. You will not be allowed to enter the building prior to five minutes before the appointment time. You are only guaranteed a vaccine if you have an appointment. Please wear loose clothing that allows for easy access to the upper arm for administration of the vaccination. Attendees will be required to be observed for 15 minutes after vaccination, and if you have had any allergic responses in the past, the observation period is 30 minutes. Please plan accordingly.

Please note, at this time, the vaccine supply is very limited, and Watertown may be hosting more local clinics as additional vaccines are allotted to the Health Department; however, individuals are encouraged to seek alternative locations.

  1. I thought that local Covid shots were no longer allowed by cities and towns separately? Had my first last week and trying to set up second shot has proven to be interesting, to say the least.
