Arsenal Yards Arsenal Yards in Watertown, already featuring several restaurants and retailers, has several new additions coming in 2022 and early 2023.

Arsenal Yards, the thriving new neighborhood in Watertown from Boylston Properties and Wilder, is celebrating continued growth and development with the opening of many highly anticipated dining, shopping, fitness, and entertainment venues throughout the neighborhood this summer and fall.  

Since its official redevelopment and expansion at the site of the former Arsenal Mall in 2017, the lively 1 million + square foot mixed-use neighborhood has flourished into a dynamic destination and neighborhood hub. Residents and visitors alike can eat, live, work, play, and experience all that the high-energy community in Watertown’s historic East End has to offer with dining, shopping, and entertainment right at their fingertips.  

With the goal of further expanding its lineup of popular restaurants, retailers and service and entertainment offerings, Arsenal Yards is eager to welcome many exciting additions to the neighborhood this year. Openings coming soon include PokeworksTaffer’s Tavern, Restore Hyper Wellness, Central Rock Gym, Bond Vet, and F45 Training, along with new offerings including a Starbucks, James Joseph Salon, AT&T and GNC all slated to open before the end of the year, and KinderCare in early 2023.

Blvd & Bond, the neighborhood’s residential offering with 302 units across three buildings, is nearly 100 percent leased, while all life science space within Arsenal Yards and the new building at 100 Forge is entirely leased as well.

Taffer’s Tavern to Open First Boston Location 

Taffer’s Tavern, the innovative new full-service tavern concept founded and developed by leading hospitality expert and star of Paramount Network’s Bar Rescue, Jon Taffer, will bring excitement to casual dining at Arsenal Yards. Located front and center on Arsenal Street, the neighborhood pub will offer a vibrant patio right in Bond Square and serve as the first location in Greater Boston opening later this summer.

Taffer’s Tavern is the quintessential pub, a place to meet old friends while making new ones. It boasts outstanding signature drinks, mouth-watering savory food, excellent customer service, and the highest safety standards in the industry. Designed with traditional Old-World taverns in mind, its ambiance is inviting, warm, and comfortable, distinguished by dark woods, soft leathers, and copper accents, making guests feel relaxed and welcomed visit after visit. 

Restore Hyper Wellness Provides Cutting-Edge Services

From Cryotherapy to HydraFacial®, Restore is bringing its signature Hyper Wellness® services to Arsenal Yards in Watertown. Central Rock Gym To Offer New Rock Climbing Facility 

Central Rock Gym will be opening its newest location at Arsenal Yards this year, giving members and guests a new active lifestyle choice and access to world class indoor rock climbing in a welcoming environment. The new Arsenal Yards location will feature climbing walls that range from 20 to 40 feet tall with over 50 different climbing stations to choose from. The rock-climbing gym offers both membership and day pass options, along with introductory classes for new climbers. There will also be drop-off program options for kids. No experience is required. Central Rock Gym currently offers several indoor rock-climbing facilities around the Boston area including Harvard Square, Fenway, Fresh Pond, Waltham, Stoneham, West Watertown, downtown Boston, and Randolph, and plans to open in Arsenal Yards in early Fall 2022.

Bond Vet To Open with 365-Day Urgent Care for Pets 

Bond Vet, the female-led primary and urgent veterinary care service, will offer its 5th Boston-area location at Arsenal Yards, offering full-service treatment for pets in a friendly and compassionate setting. Unique in the space for its approach to urgent care, filling an important niche in veterinary medicine between primary care and emergency care — open 365 days a year, Bond Vet can see patients in a timely manner to accommodate common issues like GI problems, wound care and more. The Arsenal Yards Bond Vet location is expected to open late 2022. Pet owners at Arsenal Yards and in the surrounding Watertown community increased peace of mind around the wellness of their pets. 

F45 Training To Offer Innovative and Motivational Group Fitness Classes

Hillcrest Health, LLC, a developer and operator of boutique high-intensity interval training studios under the F45 Training brand, announced their latest studio coming soon to Arsenal Yards.   1. These new businesses are bringing more thousands of more employees, customers, and property to Watertown every day for criminals to target for thefts and attacks.

    I wonder if anything is being done about this.

    • William, it sounds to me like you’re making up a problem to scare yourself. I think it’s self-evident that nothing needs to be done at this stage, because nothing has happened that needs to be reacted to.
