Watertown Man Arrested for Bank Robbery in Boston

Boston Police arrested a 60-year-old Watertown man for allegedly robbing a bank in Dorchester on Monday.

Police received a repot of a robbery in progress at the Santander Bank at 535 Columbia Road at 1:15 p.m., on March 6.

“The suspect walked into the bank, approached the counter and handed the teller a note demanding money. No weapons were shown,” according to the report on BPDNews.com. The suspect, later identified as David Laffey, 60, of Watertown, fled the bank on foot with an unknown amount of money.”

Police located David Laffey on Cushing Avenue, and he was positively identified and placed under arrest. He was charged with; Unarmed Robbery (Bank) and is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court, according to the report.
