Bricks from Old High School Available, Lane Closing for Project

The following announcement was provided by Vertex:

Exciting progress continues on the Watertown High School project as the existing
building is more than 50% demolished and foundation work has started. Please see below for
updates regarding specific project details.

Upcoming Work Affecting Traffic Pattern of Common Street

On Wednesday December 20th contractors will be performing work on Common St. One
Lane of traffic on Common St. will be closed from the hours of 7AM-5PM. A dedicated police
detail will be present to aid in traffic management.

High School Bricks Available to the Community

We are excited to share that bricks from the old Watertown High School will be available
to the public on a first come, first served basis. Due to limited supply, we ask that anyone
interested in a brick please take 1 per person until further notice. Brick will be available starting
December 19th, 2023 through January 3, 2024. The pickup location is accessed from the parking
lot off of Spring Street at the Phillips Administration Building. Please do not enter the active
construction site. Please see below for more information regarding the location of bricks
available to the community.

Demolition and Site Work On Saturdays

As progress accelerates on site, Ongoing Demolition and Site Work will be taking place on Saturdays within normal working hours allowed by the city, which is 8AM-4PM and should be expected to continue through the month of January ahead of our first Steel Deliveries.
