The following announcement was provided by The Lander Committee:

Daniel Lander is proud to announce that his campaign was endorsed by the National Association of Government Employees (NAGE), a union representing tens of thousands of workers around the country, and more than twenty thousand employees in Massachusetts. The endorsement
highlights Lander’s commitment to fighting for working people.

“NAGE is fighting every day to improve the lives of working people in Massachusetts. On every level of government and in the private sector, the union represents those who keep our state moving,” said Daniel Lander. “I’m so proud to partner with them in this fight, and to build a State Senate that supports working people.”

NAGE represents both public and private sector workers, including the state, county, municipal and federal workers who make our government run. The union is supporting the Lander campaign because of his dedication to protecting workers’ rights, fighting for working people, and taking on the broken status quo on Beacon Hill.

“NAGE proudly endorses Daniel Lander for State Senate. Daniel is a true advocate who will bring
transparency to Beacon Hill and is not afraid to challenge the status quo. His strong belief in collective bargaining and worker’s rights on the job helped him to earn NAGE’s endorsement. Daniel will be a strong voice for our members and working people on Beacon Hill,” said NAGE National President David Holway.

Daniel Lander is running for State Senate to take on the broken status quo and make Beacon Hill work for the people. He grew up in this district, and has worked alongside leaders like Senator Elizabeth Warren and Mayor Michelle Wu. Daniel believes Massachusetts can be more affordable, and a great place to build a good life. He will tackle our housing crisis, work to transform the MBTA, and stand up to the Trump Administration. Daniel’s campaign has been endorsed by Mass Alliance, IBEW 2222, and Cambridge City Councilors Marc McGovern, Jivan Sobrinho-Wheeler and Ayah Al-Zubi, Watertown School Committee Members Sheila Krishnan and Lisa Capoccia, as well as community leaders from across the district.

The Suffolk and Middlesex District includes all of Watertown, Belmont, as well as the Fenway and Allston Brighton neighborhoods of Boston, and West Cambridge.
