The Department of Community Development and Planning is on the move. The staff will no longer be located in City Hall. Beginning on Aug. 10, 2026, they will be in the Parker Building (the former school next to Casey Park). See details provided by the City of Watertown, below.
Watertown’s Community Development and Planning staff who have occupied City Hall will be moving to the Parker Building (124 Watertown St.) beginning Monday, August 10. As this transition takes place, some staff will be remote during the move, however operations will not be interrupted.
The move is expected to be completed by Friday, August 14, 2026. All Department of Community Development & Planning operations will be located at the Parker Building moving forward. This includes the Community Design Division, Planning and Zoning Division, Inspectional Services Division, Sustainability Team, and Zoning & Code Enforcement Team.
The only exception is the City Events Team, who will continue to operate out of the Commander’s Mansion.
