
This weekend in Watertown starts off with a fundraising event at the Mosesian Center for the Arts. It will be a lively community gathering and set of performances to collect funds in support of children participating in Watertown Children’s Theatre and art programs at the Mosesian. There are door prizes to win too! In anticipation of the holidays, Saturday there will be a crafts fair at Gore Place. Think about supporting local artists when gift shopping this season! Also on Saturday afternoon, history buffs can enjoy an author’s talk about the trial of a Watertown Revolutionary War spy, presented by J.L. Bell. Get your holiday shopping done early and support local artists in the Gore Place Crafts Fair. Browse the crafts in their Tent and Carriage House, and while you’re there, you can stroll the grounds of their beautiful 19th-century estate and visit their heritage breed sheep. AUTHOR TALK ABOUT DR. CHURCH, A WATERTOWN REVOLUTIONARY WAR SPY

The Historical Society and the Library present an author talk by J.L. Bell called, “Examining Dr. Church: The Trials of the Revolutionary War’s First Notorious Spy”. In October 1775, Massachusetts politicians gathered in Watertown to try one of their own, Dr. Benjamin Church Jr. on the charge of supplying intelligence to the king’s army. This program is funded by a 2025 grant from the Watertown Community Foundation.

MISCAST: A TUITION ASSISTANCE FUNDRAISER

Expect fun, dynamic, and totally surprising performances that celebrate creativity, community, and the love of theater. VETERANS DAY LUNCHEON
