Merry Mingle Returns to the Commander’s Mansion with Holiday Characters, Train Rides & a Tree Lighting

Please join us for The Merry Mingle on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2025 from 4-8 p.m. at the Commander’s Mansion! Enjoy festive outdoor activities including a toy chest drive with Watertown Veterans’ Services benefiting the Whooley Foundation, meet-and-greets with holiday characters, train rides, artificial snowball fight with Watertown Recreation, and the Christmas tree lighting at 7:30 p.m., and more!

Guests can also visit the reception tent for games and musical performances, including the WPS All City Chorus and Orchestra. Inside the mansion, guests can create River of Light lantern-making with the Public Arts and Culture Committee, listen to seasonal storytime with the Watertown Free Public Library, and visit Winter Holidays Around the World vignettes on the second floor.

Registration for Santa Photos with Natalie Nigito Photography will take place indoors in the front parlor. Each photo session is priced at $10 payable by cash or credit card on-site. A private gallery will be emailed following the event and one digital download is included. All proceeds will benefit future community-wide events.

Free guest parking is available in the East Garage on Kingsbury Avenue next to the Mosesian Center for the Arts, where visitors can also shop the Holiday Maker’s Market in the breezeway at 321 Arsenal Street from 12–6 pm. Learn more about the participating vendors.

Toy Drive contributors will also receive a coupon for discounted admission to the Mosesian’s “Charlie Brown Christmas” show performed live by the Eric Mintel Quartet on the center’s new Mason & Hamlin grand piano on Dec. 9 at 7:30 p.m.!
