The following announcement was provided by The Lander Committee:

Daniel Lander announced today that his campaign was endorsed by the Working Families Party, demonstrating his commitment to building a status quo that fights for working people in Massachusetts. The endorsement highlights Daniel’s vision for a Massachusetts where everyone can build a good life.

“I am so honored to earn the endorsement of the Working Families Party. This endorsement makes it clear that I am the only candidate in this race who will stand up for working people in Massachusetts and fight to challenge the broken status quo on Beacon Hill. I am excited to partner with the Working Families Party to continue building our campaign and to fight for real change at the State House,” said Daniel Lander.

The Working Families Party is dedicated to challenging the broken status quo and fighting for working people. The party has fought side-by-side to elect progressive leaders like Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Mayor Zorhan Mamdani, and Senator Elizabeth Warren. Daniel is proud to earn their endorsement, and is excited to partner with them in building a State Senate that will center working families.

“Daniel brings deep commitment and experience to the fight for working people,” said Josh Wolfsun, Massachusetts State Director for the Working Families Party. “Massachusetts is one of the wealthiest states in the country, but too many families are struggling with housing costs, childcare costs, healthcare costs, and stagnant wages. We need leaders like Daniel, who fight just as hard for working people as corporate lobbyists fight for their rich clients.”

Daniel Lander is running for the State Senate to take on the broken status quo and make Beacon Hill work for the people. He grew up in this district, and has worked alongside progressive leaders like Senator Elizabeth Warren, Stacey Abrams, and Mayor Michelle Wu. Daniel believes Massachusetts can be more affordable — and a great place to build a good life. He will tackle our housing crisis, work to transform the MBTA, and stand up to the Trump administration. He has been endorsed by Mass Alliance, IBEW 2222, AFSCME Council 93 Boston Presidents Committee, SEIU-NAGE, Progressive Victory, and Watertown School Committee Members Sheila Krishnan and Lisa Capoccia, as well as community leaders from across the district.

The Suffolk and Middlesex District includes all of Watertown, Belmont, as well as the Fenway and Allston Brighton neighborhoods of Boston, and West Cambridge.
