Watertown’s Room 83 Spring Merging with Musa Collective

Musa Collective joins Room 83 Spring in a new collaboration. Watertown art gallery Room 83 Spring announced some big changes, which will be celebrated by the exhibition in November and December — Goodbye Hello. Beginning in January Room 83 Spring will be morphing and merging with Musa Collective, said Room 83 co-directors and artists Cathleen Daley and Ellen Wineberg. 

“It has been a site for experimentation and process; showcasing a well-received mix of creative disciplines in provocative installations and it has hosted a wide range of events and engaging conversations. Room’s final show of 2019, Goodbye Hello, runs through December 21 and presents the work of 30 Boston area artists who have shown with Room,” the pair said in an email. Room 83 Spring will share the physical space and calendar with Musa members in a rotation of exciting shows. Musa has been a collective gallery since 2017 at 119 Braintree St.

Watertown Mall’s Giving Tree Benefits Boys & Girls Club

The Watertown Mall’s giving tree is filled with ornaments for this Holiday season and will benefit the Watertown Boys & Girls Club. The Giving Tree is located in the common area of the mall, near Miss Maria’s School of Dance. Major Intersection on Arsenal St. Undergoing Repaving

The area of Arsenal Street near School Street will be repaved beginning this week. The project, which is being overseen by Athenahealth. is slated to begin with milling (scraping off the top layer of asphalt) on Nov. 19, weather permitting. The work on Arsenal Street goes from School Street to the entrance to the recently built West Garage in the Arsenal on the Charles.

WHS Sports: Football Team on a Winning Streak, Cross Country Wraps Up Season

Watertown senior quarterback Brennan Cook has had multiple touchdown passes in the past two wins for the Raiders. The Watertown High School football team may have missed the tournament, but the Raiders have found their winning ways. The team heads into the Belmont game on a three game winning streak and with a chance to finish with a winning record. On Friday, Watertown traveled to Weston and won handily, 31-7. Four Raiders scored touchdowns in the victory.
