Commander’s Mansion’s Annual Wedding Showcase Expands to Other Events

This year, the Watertown’s Commander’s Mansion will again host the Annual Wedding Showcase, but this year the event has been expanded to include other events hosted by the historic home. The Showcase will take place on Saturday, March 4 and Sunday, March 5 from 1-4 p.m. each day. Different vendors will be featured each day. Tammy McKenna, facilities manager at the Commander’s Mansion, said the home has not only been a favorite venue for weddings but for all kinds of events, so the expansion of the showcase was a natural one. It can accommodate up to 200 guests.

Nor’easter Could Dump a Foot of Snow on Watertown Thursday

The National Weather Service warns that a major snow storm is heading toward the Boston area Wednesday evening through Thursday, and as much as a foot of snow could fall on Watertown. A Winter Storm Watch will be in effect from 10 p.m. on Wednesday through Thursday and ending in the early hours of Friday morning. The heavy snowfall could impact both commutes. Snowfall could be from 8 to 12 inches, according to the NWS. WBZ Channel 4’s weather report says there could be as much as 14 inches in the Boston area.

Get Ready for the Patriots Victory Parade and Some Wintery Weather

The New England Patriots will celebrate their amazing comeback win in Super Bowl LI with a parade in Boston on Tuesday. 

Super Bowl MVP Tom Brady and the rest of the team will ride the duck boats beginning at 11 a.m. in the Back Bay. According to NECN, the route will take the team down Boylston Street starting at Dalton Street, turn left onto Tremont Street and end at City Hall. Fans should expect a wintery mix of rain and snow Tuesday, WBZ Channel 4 reports. Boston is forecast to get an inch or less of snow, which is likely to be washed away by the rain.
